Visual Logic doesn't take effect?

Hi,

I’ve noticed lately that Visual Logic hasn’t been running. What could be causing this? I’ve got an example of where a text field doesn’t update with the datetime.

I figured it out. The button in the viewport ribbon that looks like a heartbeat labelled “Show or Hide continuous animations or effects (F12)” was the culprit here.
